Noah was diagnosed with a 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙚 in early 2023. The outcome was not good. We were all in shock at the site of the first xray and was told its very rare to see a navicular fracture, and even more rare to have it heal without surgery. Because of the limited blood flow to the navicular it’s a low chance of recovery.
𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, February 19, 2025 after roughly 6-7 months of bi weekly Acuscope sessions we decided to recheck. Myself and all the vets were in COMPLETE shock.
The fracture NEVER displaced its self (which vets believed it would) and has healed enough to be 𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 to start riding. With the goal eventually to be back to running barrels and good chance to do so.
Noah was given a very poor prognosis originally and was suppose to be only pasture sound but things have changed.
He was confined to a stall for over a year & a half then to small turnout & when rechecked his progress was slow. He was still on track to be pasture sound and maybe possibly trail riding at the time before we started with Brooke.
Today, the story has taken a total 360.
